FOCCAS is a foster based rescue group in Coos Bay, Oregon. (on the Oregon Coast) None of these animals are located in the animal shelter, they are in our homes, being treated like our own pets. We show them for adoption on Saturdays 10-4 in Pony Village Mall in North Bend, Oregon. We are located inside, close to J.C. Penny's. If you are interested we may be able to make other arrangements................. aprox birthdate 4/29/xxxx Her adoption fee is $75. It includes spay, felv/fiv tested, fvrcp(s) and rabies vaccination, dewormed, flea treated, 24 PetWatch microchip with registration, 30 days free Shelter Care pet insurance, free vet visit in Coos County, goodie bag, going home carrier......... Shanti's family had a lifestyle change and she was spending more time alone. The family did not want that for her because she is such a social cat. She was adopted from FOCCAS in Dec xxxx. These are notes from the family about her personality....She is extremely lonely. I work two jobs. She is very skittish with strangers. She needs some family at home, or an older cat who won't scare her to death. I think she would even adjust to a dog if given the opportunity.She is very healthy with a shiny coat. She has always been indoors, although lately she has been trying to get outside (to relieve her boredom, I think). She eats regular dry food. I give her 1/3 can of Fancy Feast at night. She throws up if she gets too much. She sleeps with me about two or three nights a week, and on her cat tree the other nights. UPDATE 9/24/xxxx........Shanti was adopted in July xxxx. That family is willing to 'foster" her while we try to find her another home. The reason is she is not happy in a home with 1 other cat and 1 dog. What we did find out is she LOVES the 4 year old child in the home The child is now in pre K and she is depressed during the time he is gone. She will be happier as an only pet. Our adult cat foster homes are full so the current family will be a "foster" family. They live an hour drive away. We will not be showing her at our regular adoption event in North Bend.
